In Loving Memory

I was looking through our pictures for something to inspire me and I found these. The man in this picture was my boss at one time in my current job. He became so much more then that. He was a fountain of knowledge, even when he did not know it, inspiring without knowing it, and he taught me a lot about what is truly important in life when I needed it the most. He did this just by being him and I will always love him dearly for it.

Two weeks after Easter this year he passed away from pancreatic cancer. It was hard for anyone who was close to him to watch such a healthy, strong, and loving man go the way he did. He stayed himself in spirit to the last day.

My family and I will always love and remember him. We miss his straight talk and always youthful spirit but keep it with us every day.

Rhett we love you and miss you and know that where ever you are you enjoyed your life in the fullest. Thank you for touching ours!

Two weeks of Hell

Well it has been a two week monday. The 20th I saw Brianna off to Job Corps. The 21st she gave up and we had to go pick her up. So with all the fighting between us for her giving up and trying to convince her that she needed this I am mentally drained. I went from being excited to finally be able to see again to being so mentally tired that I have do no scrapbooking. Anyway, I am back. I started sorting my files again today and hope to have a few new layouts for you all soon. Like by the end of the week.

Hope all is well with all of you! Talk to you all soon!

Almost whole again.

Well I have been out for a long while with vision issues. I had my first eye surgery this last Thurs. and will have the second one in two weeks as long as the post op. appt goes well. I want to say thank you to the people who stopped by to wish me luck. Everything with the design business was put on hold but is now starting to pick back up now that I can see again! LOL

On the family side of things......

Brianna leaves for Job Corps this Mon. After completion there she has decided that she would like to join the Army and pursue a career in Pedatiric Nursing. An adult decision! LOL Seriously though we are very proud of her for finally taking an intrest in her own future. It no longer feels like we are talking to a wall in this concern.

Russel has made it home from his yearly summer journey. LOL He spent 2 weeks in Tenn. with Poppy and the rest of the family. Then 2 weeks in Vegas with Uncel Russ, Aunt Crytal and the girls. He is now home and making his rounds with his friends, sometime before school starts he will find his way home. LOL

So thats it for now. Just wanted to let everyone know why I had been away for so long.

Scrap for Hire

So check it out. I have decided what I want to do when I grow up! LOL I am researching and trying to build my own digital scrapbook and design business. I have been thinking about this for about a year now, but it is only a few days in the works. So basically still researching what I need and need to do! James bought me the graphics program I want to use today and I have been playing around with creating things. At some point, hopefully sooner then later I will be calling on my friends and family to become my first "clients" (free of charge of course) to ccreat a potfolio of what I can do. :) And help work any bugs out of the website/store. So thank you all for giving me such great memories to want to do this!

I love you all!

No More SARB!

HECK YEAH! Brianna graduated from SARB (Student Attendance Review Board) yesterday. So CONGRATULATIONS Bri! We are proud of you. She is also doing adult school 3 nights a week to help catch up on her missing credits. She has perfect attendance for a record 5 months. It seems our monster is finally growing up a bit!

Russ is good as always. Still a crazy boy! LOL Growing like a weed. He has finally hit the stage where mom can't kiss him in front of his friends... :( my baby is growing up!

James and I are both doing well also. Working way to hard like always, but now we have a goal to be able to buy a house within the next year to year and a half. So we are trying to put money away and clean up our credit. Penny pinching were we can! LOL

Much love to everyone from all of us!

Christy and I have been friends since 1993. One of the first people I meet when I moved to Ridgcrest. As kids we got in trouble, loved each other, hated each other and fought for each other. As adults we have our kids, families and lifes. There have been many times were we don't talk for months. The one thing she has always been is a true friend. I love her dearly and know that we have many more years of true friendship ahead!
